What is the Cartersville Treasure Box?
The Cartersville Treasure Box is a box full of local treasures related to Cartersville that could be yours to keep! The treasures will be Cartersville “themed” and could be souvenir items, memorabilia from professional athletes, items from local businesses, gift cards to local restaurants, tickets to see local shows/concerts, and more!
The Treasure box will be hidden somewhere within Bartow County. A daily clue will be given on the "Cartersville Treasure Box" Facebook Page until the treasure box has been found. The treasure box will be hidden in a safe, secure location with public access and will look the same each time it is hidden.
The treasures will not physically be in the box while it is hidden! Once the box is found, you will open it to find a list of treasures that you will be given once you return the box and officially claim your victory. Once the box is returned, it will be refilled with treasures and hidden again for the next hunt!
This is a friendly, community driven activity that is free to play for everyone. Please be respectful and appreciative of the treasures found, businesses who donated and each other as you compete!
Treasure Hunt Guidelines

The box will be hidden in a safe and secure location with public access. If you think you're trespassing, you're looking in the wrong spot! (It will not be hidden inside a business or on a personal residence)

Clues will be uploaded daily to the Cartersville Treasure Box Facebook Page, Website and sent out through our texting service

Donate $10 to get the Bonus Clue. 100% of Bonus Clue donations benefit a local non-profit!

The box will be hidden within Bartow County

Clues could be based off (but not limited to) specific locations, landmarks, events (historic, current, or upcoming), and historical facts about Cartersville

Box will be hidden "within reach" - could be on the ground or elevated off the ground, but will be possible for anyone to get to!

The box will not always be "in plain sight" - you may have to move leaves, sticks, etc. to find it. Whatever you may have to move will be very light and not a major factor on if you can find the box or not

Visit the designated "Bonus Clue" business to receive an extra clue that will not be posted on Facebook or Instagram
